President of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo has cancelled the 9% communication service tax on mobile networks.
On Monday 1st October 2019 the Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications announced that mobile users would pay 9% Communication Services Tax.
This change angered Ghanaians as they lambasted the Akufo-Addo led government for disappointing Ghanaians.
The same day the PURC also announced the increment in utility bills which even infuriated Ghanaians the more.

However, amid the severe criticisms meted out on President Akufo-Addo , he had no option than to cancel the 9% charges on the telecoms
